Trust us with your
Laminate installation!
Laminate flooring is easy to install due to its unique locking edges. It "floats" above the subfloor, expanding and contracting with any climate changes in your home. Because of this, it can be installed over any other type of flooring, and most DIYers will feel comfortable enough to do the job themselves. However, we still recommend professional laminate installation for best long-term results. Read on to learn more.
Preparing for installation
Since installing laminate is extremely efficient and can be installed over any other type of flooring, you don't have to worry about ripping out your old flooring and disposing of it if you don't want to, although you'll still need to move all furniture out of the room. You will also need to make sure your subfloor is sound, dry, clean, and flat, and your new laminate installation will require an underlayment. The underlayment protects against moisture while insulating your flooring, making it sound and feel more like genuine hardwood.
During & after installation
A member of your household who is at least 18 or older should be available to greet the laminate installers and show them to the work area. For everyone’s safety, keep children and pets away from the work area until the job is done. Feel free to ask your lead installer any questions you might have about the finished laminate installation. After that, it's your job to care for your new laminate flooring!
